Privacy Policy

GrokingMama ("we", "our", or "the app") is an iOS meal-planning companion from Venusafe. This policy explains what the app uses, what is sent to our servers, and what we do not do.

Camera and photos

The app may use your camera and photo library to:

Identify pantry foods and products
Attach cooking photos when you ask Mama for cook-along help
Snap finished dishes for your on-device dish album and optional share cards

When you request AI meal help, relevant pantry text and any photos you choose to attach are sent to our Phoenix server at grokingmama.venusafe.com so we can call Grok via OpenRouter on your behalf. API keys never ship inside the iOS app.

What we store

Pantry items, preferences, cook sessions, and dish album photos primarily live on your device. If you finish a cook with a dish photo and create a public share card, a copy of that ranking and photo may be stored on our server so anyone with the link can view it.

Ads and tracking

Version 1 does not include ads, third-party advertising SDKs, or cross-app tracking.

Third parties

AI meal suggestions and coaching are processed through OpenRouter (openrouter.ai) using models such as Grok. Photos and prompts you submit for AI features are sent to that provider solely to generate a response. See OpenRouter's own privacy policy for their practices.
